Extra Classification at the Bangkok Para World Championships

Extra Classification at the Bangkok Para World Championships

Lausanne - Tuesday, October 29, 2013

The 2013 Para World Championships begin on 1 November in Bangkok, Thailand.

As World Archery has advertised before, it will provide as a service to members, an extra classification of all archers at the tournament. This extra classification will be based on the new requirement of a minimum 25 points in the upper limbs or in the lower limbs.

As archers are eliminated from the World Para Championships they may be classified to see if they will still be eligible to compete in international Para tournaments. At the conclusion of the event the list of those who may continue to compete as Para-archers in international competitions and those who will no longer be eligible will be given to Team Captains.

To ensure your archers can be classified, each Team Captain must bring the medical certificate completed and signed by the Archer’s medical practitioner. No classification will take place during this time nor will any new or review archers be classified without the completed and signed form. Team Captains need to bring a list of their team members with their current classification and the medical form when they attend the Team Captains’ meeting.
