90 athletes (45 boys and 45 girls) aged 13-14 years old represented nine school districts from all over the United Arab of Emirates participated in the archery tournament. The main objective of this project was to identify the best archers through these centres who will then take part in the National School Olympics event. The project was to select 10 best archers and train them until a specific date. Then the best 4 archers were selected to attend the major event that took place in Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi.
The School Olympics was organised thanks to the great contribution and collaboration of the Ministry of Education, General Authority of Youth & Sports Welfare, U.A.E Interschool Sports Association and the National Olympic Committee.
It was officiated by four judges: Ahmed KOURA (EGY), International Judge, and Hany Abdel Mawgoud (EGY), Essam ERRACHIDI (MAR) and Hesham SALAMA (EGY), National Judges.

This 1st round has been satisfactory with a good room for improvements towards upcoming successful ones. This is a good step toward archery development in the UAE nation in future cooperation between Emirates Olympic Committee and Italian Olympic Committee with an injected budget of 2,500,000 DHS.
